The preferred temperature of three Hawaiian coral-reef fishes — Acanthurus triostegus sandvicensis, Abudefduf abdominalis, and Chaetodon multicinctus — were determined in two-chambered tanks that permitted the fish to regulate behaviorally tank by: habitat and distributions of reef fishes.
